Nippon Electric Glass announces leadership changes effective March 2026

Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd. announced proposed changes to its board of directors and corporate auditors, pending approval at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on March 27, 2026. Katsura Nakano, professor and executive vice president at Shiga University, is nominated as a new outside director, replacing Hiroyuki Ito. Yuichiro Katsura, representative of Katsura Certified Public Accountant Office and representative director of KMT Partners, is nominated as a new outside corporate auditor, replacing Yukihiro Yagura.

These appointments are part of a broader leadership update. The board of directors will include Motoharu Matsumoto as chairman and Akira Kishimoto as president, both representative directors. The executive team, effective March 27, 2026, will see Akira Kishimoto as president and executive officer, with Mamoru Morii continuing as senior vice president, overseeing general affairs, human resources, finance, purchasing, information systems, corporate strategy, and other key areas.

Other notable executive appointments include Tomonori Kano as executive vice president for glass fiber business, Hiroki Yamazaki as senior vice president for fundamental technology, and Masaaki Kadomi as senior vice president for research & development. The changes aim to strengthen governance and strategic direction for Nippon Electric Glass.
