Odakyu Electric Railway sees mixed november performance across segments

Odakyu Electric Railway reported preliminary operating results for November 2025, showing mixed performance across its railway, department store, and hotel segments. Combined railway passenger numbers for commuters and non-commuters reached 60,593 thousand, a 1.1% increase year-on-year. This contributed to total railway revenue of JPY 9,962 million, up 1.5% from the previous year. For the fiscal year to date (April-November), total railway passengers increased by 2.0% and total railway revenue by 2.3% compared to the prior year.

In retail, the Odakyu Department Store saw overall sales of JPY 6,199 million in November, a 1.6% year-on-year increase. However, the Shinjuku store’s sales were down 0.2%, while Machida and Fujisawa stores posted gains of 2.9% and 3.7%, respectively. For Odakyu Shoji’s store division, all stores reported November sales of JPY 4,732 million, with existing stores increasing by 1.6% year-on-year.

Hotel occupancy rates in November remained strong. Hotel Century Southern Tower in Shinjuku reached 89.7%. Hakone hotels also performed well, with Hotel de Yama at 91.3%, Hatsuhana at 90.6%, Hakone Yutowa at 93.5%, and HOTEL CLAD at 90.4%. Hakone Highland Hotel has been closed for renovation since May 7, 2025.
