Dainichiseika subsidiary hit by ransomware attack

Dainichiseika Color & Chemicals Mfg. Co., Ltd. announced that its Vietnamese subsidiary, DAINICHI COLOR VIETNAM CO., LTD., experienced a ransomware attack on December 15, 2025. Unauthorized third-party access led to the encryption of files on internal servers and PCs.

Affected devices at the subsidiary were immediately disconnected from internal networks and the internet to prevent further spread. Dainichiseika is deploying IT specialists to assist with recovery efforts and investigating the extent of any potential information leakage.

Despite the incident, major operations such as manufacturing and shipping at the subsidiary remain unaffected and are continuing as usual. Dainichiseika anticipates a minor impact on its group's consolidated financial results.
