Kamigumi announces leadership change: Tahara Norihito to become president and COO

Kamigumi Co., Ltd. announced a change in its representative director (presidential personnel matter) following a board meeting held on December 12, 2025. The change, effective April 1, 2026, will see Deep Well Yoshihiro, the current representative director and president, transition to representative director, chairman, and CEO, as well as chairman of the board. This move aims to establish a new management structure to foster further growth and enhance corporate value for the Kamigumi Group.

Tahara Norihito, currently representative director, vice president and executive officer, overseeing management administration, will assume the role of representative director and president, as well as COO. Born on November 5, 1958, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Tahara Norihito graduated from Doshisha University with a degree in Literature. He joined Kamigumi in April 1982 and has held various key positions, including executive officer and branch manager of the Nagoya branch, and representative director, senior managing executive officer, overseeing international logistics, feed, grain, and rice businesses.

Tahara Norihito's most recent role, prior to this appointment, was representative director, vice president and executive officer, overseeing management administration, a position he assumed in April 2025. He currently holds 26,545 shares in the company. The new appointments are slated to take effect on April 1, 2026.
