Asics names Jennifer Rogers new outside director

Asics Corporation, under representative director, chairman and CEO Hirota Yasuhito, announced on December 12, 2025, the internal decision to appoint Jennifer Rogers as a new outside director, effective March 25, 2026. This appointment is subject to formal approval at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled for March 25, 2026. This strategic move aims to bring diverse expertise to the company's board.

Jennifer Rogers, born June 22, 1963, brings a wealth of experience from both legal and financial sectors. Her career began in law firms, including Haight Gardner Poor & Havens (now Holland & Knight), followed by registration as a New York State attorney, a position she currently holds. She then transitioned into finance, joining Industrial Bank of Japan New York Branch (now Mizuho Bank), and subsequently Merrill Lynch Japan Securities (now BofA Securities). Her international experience includes roles at Merrill Lynch Europe Plc (now Merrill Lynch Europe Limited) in London and Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific) Limited (now Bank of America Corporation) in Hong Kong, as well as Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.

More recently, Ms. Rogers has held leadership positions as general counsel for Asia at Asurion Asia Pacific Limited and Asurion Japan Holdings LLC, along with serving as an outside director for Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group. She also holds the title of president at The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. Effective January 1, 2025, she assumed the role of general counsel international at Asurion Japan Holdings LLC.
