Mitsubishi Materials names Kayo Hirano new representative executive officer

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation announced changes to its representative executive officer and executive officers, effective April 1, 2026. Kayo Hirano will assume the role of managing executive officer (representative executive officer), having previously served as managing executive officer. Hirano's career includes experience at Sakura & Co., ShinNihon Audit Firm, Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd., and LIXIL Corporation, where she held senior leadership roles in investor relations and finance. She joined Mitsubishi Materials Corporation in April 2024.

The company's leadership restructure will see Nobuhiro Takayanagi retire as representative executive officer on March 31, 2026. Miki Adachi and Tatsuya Inoue will be newly appointed as managing executive officers, while Toshinori Ishii and Kazuo Ohara will retire as executive officers.

Effective April 1, 2026, Tetsuya Tanaka will continue as executive officer and president. Kayo Hirano will take on responsibilities as managing executive officer and CFO, overseeing procurement and resources business. Miki Adachi will become managing executive officer (CTO), responsible for sustainability and SCQ promotion, and renewable energy. Tatsuya Inoue will serve as managing executive officer for the materials area, and Zhang Shoubin will continue as managing executive officer for the products area.
