Nittoku to sponsor Kataoka Seisakusho's civil rehabilitation

Nittoku Co., Ltd. announced today the signing of a basic agreement to provide sponsor support for Kataoka Seisakusho Co., Ltd., which initiated civil rehabilitation proceedings on August 8, 2025. Kataoka Seisakusho, founded in 1968, specializes in laser processing machines, secondary battery inspection equipment, and industrial machinery, with capital of JPY 85.70m. Its most recent reported sales for the fiscal year ended January 2025 were JPY 8,236m.

Nittoku's support aims to secure employment and facilitate the business succession of Kataoka Seisakusho's operations, particularly its laser technology. Nittoku believes this will contribute to the growth of its roll-to-roll equipment business, including solutions for perovskite solar cells. The final agreement is anticipated between January and February 2026.

This basic agreement is non-legally binding and subject to further discussion and agreement on the scope and methods of business succession. Nittoku states that the impact on its consolidated and individual financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026 is expected to be minor.
