Nifco subsidiary avoids penalties in Korean bid-rigging probe

On December 2, 2025, the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) announced its decision regarding past transactions related to automotive air vent procurement. While Nifco Korea Inc. (NKO) was found to have violated Korea's Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act, its application for reduction or exemption was granted, leading to a waiver of corrective orders, surcharges, and complaints.

Nifco expressed regret over NKO's legal infractions and apologized to stakeholders. The company highlighted NKO's sincere cooperation with the KFTC investigation since July 2023, along with efforts to strengthen compliance rules and enhance training.

Nifco stated its group-wide commitment to reinforcing compliance education across all locations to prevent recurrence of such issues.
