Asics denies puma acquisition reports, apologizes for concern

Asics Corporation has officially denied recent media reports indicating its interest in acquiring Puma. In an announcement dated November 28, 2025, Asics stated that there is no truth to the information published in some media outlets regarding the company's supposed interest in purchasing Puma.

The company expressed regret over the circulation of these unverified reports, emphasizing that no such facts exist. Asics extended an apology for any concern caused to stakeholders by the inaccurate media coverage.

The statement, issued by Mitsuyuki Tominaga, president and coo, representative director, and Koji Hayashi, managing executive officer and cfo, underscores Asics's position that there are no discussions or plans for an acquisition of Puma.
