Seibu Railway to hike fares, introduce new child passes in March 2026

Seibu Railway Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary of Seibu Holdings Inc., will revise railway passenger fares effective Saturday, March 14, 2026. This follows approval from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, for changes to the upper limits of railway passenger fares.

Concurrently with the fare revisions, Seibu Railway will introduce a uniform child fare and launch the Child All-Line Commuter Pass, an unlimited SEIBU-line commuter pass exclusively for children using PASMO. These initiatives aim to enhance service, promote safety, and cater to families, fostering "liveable" and "visitable" railway corridors.

Seibu Holdings anticipates a minor impact on its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026 due to this fare revision.
