Software Service reports mixed sales but strong order growth in October

Software Service Co., Ltd. announced its monthly sales and order figures for October 2025. The company reported October monthly sales of JPY 4,978 million, marking a 149.3% increase year-over-year. Full-year accumulated sales reached JPY 41,057 million, an 110.0% increase compared to the previous year. However, earlier in the fiscal year, sales experienced some monthly volatility, with April sales at JPY 1,992 million (97.1% year-over-year) and July at JPY 2,799 million (83.7% year-over-year).

Order intake showed robust performance, with October new orders at JPY 2,755 million, a 78.9% increase year-over-year. The accumulated full-year new orders totaled JPY 35,187 million, an increase of 119.9% compared to the previous year. Order backlog at the end of October stood at JPY 15,487 million, up 137.4% from the prior year. Throughout the year, monthly new orders and backlog figures demonstrated significant growth, with a peak in backlog in July at JPY 19,845 million.

The company noted that the reported figures are non-audited and represent stand-alone numbers. The sales breakdown includes software, hardware, and maintenance services, but maintenance service portions are excluded when calculating new orders and order backlog. Fluctuations in monthly order figures are attributed to the strong individuality of the company's projects.
