Obara Group proposes new directors, including external member, for board expansion

Obara Group Incorporated, listed under stock code 6877, announced on November 19, 2025, the nomination of two new director candidates. Sota Iwasaki and Masako Takahashi are proposed to join the board, with their appointments taking effect on December 19, 2025, subject to approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.

Sota Iwasaki is nominated as a director, bringing extensive experience from the welding equipment business domestically and internationally. His career includes serving as president of OBARA CORP. USA and OBARA MEXICO, S. DE R. L. DE C. V. Masako Takahashi is proposed as an external director, fulfilling the criteria for an independent officer.

Takahashi, a certified public accountant and tax accountant, is expected to enhance board transparency and oversight. She currently serves as an auditor for Obara Group and was appointed auditor for enechain Co., Ltd. in September 2023.
