Comture corporation sees strong H1 2025 growth, driven by AI acquisitions

Comture Corporation reported a 4.8% increase in net sales to JPY 18,652 million for the six months ended September 30, 2025, compared to JPY 17,794 million in the prior year. Operating profit rose 4.7% to JPY 2,077 million, while ordinary profit grew 4.8% to JPY 2,079 million. Profit attributable to owners of parent saw a 9.6% jump, reaching JPY 1,401 million (JPY 43.95 basic earnings per share).

The company's strong performance was primarily driven by data management and AI platform building businesses, along with the strategic acquisition of Human Interactive Technology inc. (HIT) on June 30, 2025. This acquisition is expected to strengthen Comture's Microsoft business and AI solution offerings, enhancing its ability to provide comprehensive digital solutions. Total assets increased to JPY 25,902 million, with goodwill rising by JPY 990 million due to the HIT consolidation.

Despite a 1.0% decrease in gross profit attributed to higher personnel expenses, efficient back-office processes and reduced office renovation expenses contributed to overall operating profit growth. The shareholders' equity ratio stood at a robust 73.8%, indicating strong financial soundness. Cash and cash equivalents decreased by JPY 1,040 million to JPY 11,841 million due to the HIT acquisition and tax payments.
