Oug Holdings raises full-year earnings forecast on strong performance

Oug Holdings announced a revision to its full-year consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, citing recent performance trends. The company now expects net sales of 351,000 million yen (up from 345,000 million yen), operating profit of 4,600 million yen (up from 4,400 million yen), ordinary profit of 4,900 million yen (up from 4,500 million yen), and net income attributable to parent company shareholders of 4,000 million yen (up from 3,300 million yen). This represents increases of 1.7% in net sales, 4.5% in operating profit, 8.9% in ordinary profit, and 21.2% in net income.

The upward revision is attributed to stronger-than-expected performance in the first half of the fiscal year, with net sales reaching 171,003 million yen and ordinary profit at 2,599 million yen. This was primarily driven by higher sales prices across key segments due to increased global demand for marine products, improved profitability in the aquaculture business, and larger-than-anticipated gains from the sale of investment securities. The company’s three main businesses—marine product consignment, off-market marine product wholesale, and aquaculture—all contributed to the positive sales growth and profit increase.

Oug Holdings emphasized its ongoing strategic initiatives, including optimizing its value chain, strengthening fresh fish and product capabilities, expanding into the Kanto market, growing overseas business, and promoting sustainable business activities. The company aims for continuous growth and enhanced corporate value.
