Tokyu Corporation boosts full-year forecasts on strong half-year performance

Tokyu Corporation announced a revision to its full-year consolidated results forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. The company now expects operating revenue of 1,085,000 million yen, up 1.2% from the previous forecast of 1,072,000 million yen. Operating profit is projected to be 104,000 million yen, an increase of 4.0% from the prior 100,000 million yen, and ordinary profit is expected to reach 115,400 million yen, an 8.8% rise from 106,100 million yen. Net income attributable to owners of parent is forecast at 84,000 million yen, a 5.0% increase from 80,000 million yen, resulting in an EPS of 146.32 yen.

The upward revision is primarily attributed to strong performances in the Life Service and Hotel and Resort businesses during the second quarter. Operating revenue and operating profit for the six months ended September 30, 2025, exceeded May's forecast, with operating profit benefiting from a significant increase in real estate sales and a positive contribution from hotel operations. Despite a year-on-year decline in operating revenue and profit due to a recoil from large property sales in FY2024, favorable business conditions, particularly in transportation and hotels, continued.

For FY2025, Tokyu Corporation plans an annual dividend of 28 yen per share and a share buyback of up to 10.0 billion yen or 6.5 million shares, having already acquired approximately 7.4 billion yen and 4.42 million shares by October 2025. The company also anticipates increased labor costs, projecting an approximately 10.0 billion yen year-on-year rise.
