Nippon Hume lifts profit forecast, boosts dividend payouts

Nippon Hume Corporation has revised its consolidated financial forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, upward. While net sales are expected to remain at JPY 40,000 million, operating profit is now projected at JPY 2,300 million, a 4.5% increase from the previous forecast of JPY 2,200 million. Ordinary profit is expected to rise by 11.4% to JPY 3,400 million, and profit attributable to owners of parent is set to significantly increase by 32.1% to JPY 3,000 million. This is largely due to improved profitability, cost reductions, strong performance from equity-method affiliates, and a gain on investment securities sales.

The company announced an interim dividend of JPY 22.00 per share for September 30, 2025, comprising an ordinary dividend of JPY 19.00 and a commemorative dividend of JPY 3.00. Following the revised financial outlook, the year-end dividend for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, will be increased by JPY 2 per share, from JPY 11.00 to JPY 13.00. This results in a total annual dividend of JPY 48.00 per share (pre-share split basis).
