Kameda Seika reports strong first-half sales growth and profit surge

Kameda Seika Co., Ltd. reported a significant increase in its consolidated performance for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2026. Net sales for the period rose by 35.4% to 65,767 million yen, up from 48,560 million yen in the previous year. Operating profit climbed 23.9% to 2,190 million yen, while ordinary profit increased by 18.8% to 2,183 million yen.

A notable highlight was the surge in net profit attributable to parent company shareholders, which reached 22,283 million yen, a substantial increase compared to 794 million yen in the prior period. This increase was primarily due to a gain on step acquisition of 20,598 million yen related to the consolidation of TH FOODS, INC.

The company's financial position also strengthened, with total assets growing to 168,217 million yen from 123,862 million yen at the end of the previous fiscal year. This was mainly attributed to increases in cash and deposits, and significant growth in goodwill following the acquisition of TH FOODS, INC. Total equity attributable to shareholders rose to 97,440 million yen from 78,908 million yen.

Segment-wise, overseas business sales soared by 196.7% to 23,771 million yen, largely due to the consolidation of TH FOODS, INC. Domestic rice cracker business sales saw a more modest increase of 2.5% to 34,156 million yen, and food business sales grew by 10.1% to 4,155 million yen. The company has maintained its full-year forecast, expecting 137,500 million yen in sales and 24,200 million yen in net profit attributable to parent company shareholders.
