Teijin Aramid Delfzijl plant fire: operations resume, minimal financial impact

Teijin Limited provided an update regarding the fire that occurred on August 6, 2025, at its consolidated subsidiary, Teijin Aramid B.V.'s Delfzijl plant in the Netherlands. The fire, which started around 2 p.m. local time and was extinguished by 4 p.m. local time on the same day, was caused by a malfunction in the drying equipment during the raw material manufacturing process.

Fortunately, the incident resulted in no human casualties or environmental damage. Teijin Aramid B.V. reported that a significant portion of the Delfzijl plant resumed operations safely on August 20, 2025.

Teijin Aramid B.V. is diligently implementing preventive measures to ensure no similar fires occur in the future. The company expects the impact on its consolidated financial performance for the current fiscal period to be minimal, as production adjustments for future sales demand forecasts are already in place.
