Air Water reveals ¥2.5 bn accounting irregularity in initial probe

Air Water Inc. announced on October 10, 2025, a follow-up to its disclosure regarding the establishment of a special investigation committee. The company has identified an approximate cumulative impact of ¥2.5 billion across four cases of inappropriate accounting treatment, specifically the deferral of losses.

The identified cases and their estimated impacts are: Japan Helium Inc. (¥1.9 billion), Air Water Ecolocca Inc. (¥450 million), Air Water Mechatronics Inc. (¥100 million), and Air Water Inc. Plant Gas Division (¥20 million). Air Water stated that the scope and amounts of these cases may change pending further investigation by the special investigation committee and additional reviews and audit procedures by accounting auditors.

Air Water affirmed its full cooperation with the special investigation committee and committed to disclosing the progress and results of the investigation promptly as they become available. The company extended a deep apology to its shareholders, investors, and all stakeholders for the considerable inconvenience and concern caused.
