Starsheeds acquires two grid-scale battery storage plant sites from Nomuraya

Starsheeds, Inc. announced on October 9, 2025, the acquisition of land, facilities, and electricity connection rights for two grid-scale battery storage power plants from Nomuraya HD. This acquisition aligns with Starsheeds' strategy to expand into grid-scale battery storage, aiming to develop and operate 50 such plants nationwide with a total output of 100MW (400MWh battery capacity) by 2027.

The acquired properties are located in Tahara City and Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, each with a maximum receiving capacity of 1999kW, and will connect to Chubu Electric Power Grid. The total acquisition cost, while undisclosed due to the seller's request, is stated to be over 10% of Starsheeds' consolidated net sales from the previous fiscal year (511 million yen), with payment via cash (bank transfer).

The contracts are expected to be signed on October 10, 2025, with grid connection planned for January 31, 2026, and operations commencing on February 15, 2026. Starsheeds will collaborate with affiliates to develop these sites and contract with electricity aggregators to manage operations.
