Monogatari corporation reports September sales growth, expands restaurant network

Monogatari Corporation announced its preliminary monthly year-on-year sales and customer traffic for September 2025, reporting a total sales increase of 6.8% and customer count increase of 1.2% across all domestic direct and franchise restaurants. This contributed to a first-quarter sales growth of 11.2% and customer traffic growth of 7.1%. Existing restaurants, however, saw a slight sales decline of 1.0% and a customer count decrease of 5.7% in September.

Segment-wise, Yakiniku reported a 4.9% sales decline and an 11.0% customer count decrease in September. Ramen achieved a 4.4% sales increase and a 4.0% customer count decrease, while Yuzuan saw a 5.0% sales increase and a 1.5% customer count increase for the month. Specialty and new business formats experienced a 1.4% sales increase and a 4.3% customer count increase.

As of September 2025, the total number of restaurants reached 763, an increase from 759 in August. This includes 355 Yakiniku, 237 Ramen, 108 Yuzuan, 63 Specialty/new business formats, and 74 overseas stores, reflecting ongoing network adjustments and expansions. The company also identified 7 restaurants whose data was revised or excluded from existing restaurant figures for September 2025 due to renovations.
