Nidec announces executive appointments effective October 2025

Nidec Corporation announced personnel changes effective October 1, 2025, which include adjustments to the roles of two key executives. Hiroshi Kobe, currently a member of the board of directors and chairman of Nidec Techno Motor Corporation and Nidec Global Service Corporation, will transition to member of the board of directors and chairman of Nidec Global Service Corporation. This change removes his chairmanship of Nidec Techno Motor Corporation.

Additionally, Toru Takahashi will assume the title of senior vice president, chief performance officer, and chief marketing officer. He will also serve as general manager of Global Business Promotion & Marketing Division and general manager of Sales and Marketing Strategy Department. His previous extensive portfolio, which included chairmanships of Nidec Techno Motor Corporation, Nidec (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd., Nidec (New Territories) Co., Ltd., Nidec Taiwan Corporation, and Nidec (H.K.) Co., Ltd., will be adjusted under his new designation.
