CYBERDYNE secures subsidy for Ukraine reconstruction, medical innovation

CYBERDYNE Inc. has been selected for a subsidy under the FY2024 Supplementary Budget's "Future-Oriented Co-Creation with the Global South" initiative. This program, supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), focuses on Ukraine's reconstruction and strengthening collaboration with Central and Eastern European countries. The project period extends from the grant approval date to September 30, 2028.

The approved subsidy amounts to JPY 48,798,466. This funding will support the establishment of a next-generation Cybernics Treatment Center in Ukraine, leveraging Wearable Cyborg HAL, neuroregenerative medicine, and epidural spinal cord stimulation technologies. The initiative partners with UNBROKEN in Lviv, aiming to restore medical infrastructure and facilitate the social reintegration of war-affected individuals.

The subsidy is anticipated to be recorded as "Other Income" by CYBERDYNE Inc. during the project's duration. This program underscores the company's commitment to creating innovative solutions for societal challenges through its Cybernics technologies.
