Tokai Carbon completes acquisition, renames Thai subsidiary

Tokai Carbon Co., Ltd. announced on September 30, 2025, the completion of its joint acquisition of all shares of BRIDGESTONE CARBON BLACK (THAILAND) CO., LTD. (BSCB) with Thai Tokai Carbon Product Co., Ltd. (TCP). The acquisition price for the transaction is valued at THB 2,050,000,000.

Concurrently with the acquisition, BRIDGESTONE CARBON BLACK (THAILAND) CO., LTD. has been renamed Thai Tokai Carbon Product Rojana Co., Ltd. Tatsuhiko Yamazaki, an executive officer of Tokai Carbon, has been appointed director & managing director of the newly named subsidiary. TCP now holds 1,768,824 shares (99% voting rights) and Tokai Carbon holds 17,867 shares (1% voting rights) in the company.

The renamed subsidiary manufactures and sells carbon black, with a capital of THB 1,787 million as of December 31, 2024. Tokai Carbon is currently evaluating the impact of this transaction on its consolidated performance for the current fiscal year, with any material impacts to be disclosed as soon as identified.
