Shift expands to middle east, bolsters domestic IT with acquisition

Shift Inc. announced the establishment of Shift Arabia W.L.L. in Bahrain, a new subsidiary focusing on software testing and the distribution of Japanese entertainment content in the Middle East. This move aims to capitalize on the region's growing demand for Japanese content and expand Shift's global presence. The subsidiary is slated for establishment by late November 2025.

Concurrently, Shift's consolidated subsidiary, ALH Inc., is set to acquire 100% of dataway. systems co., ltd., a software design and development company based in Sendai, Japan. The acquisition of dataway. systems for 155 million yen is expected to enhance ALH's customer and business base in the Tohoku region and expand its service delivery capacity. This transaction is anticipated to be completed by December 1, 2025.

Both initiatives are designed to accelerate Shift's overall growth strategy and are expected to have a minor impact on the company's consolidated financial results for the August 2026 fiscal year.
