Genky DrugStores reports strong sales growth in September and first half of fiscal 2026

Genky DrugStores reported a net sales increase of 114.0% for all stores in September 2025, with existing stores seeing a 107.6% rise compared to the previous year. Customer traffic for existing stores grew by 104.4%, while spending per customer for existing stores increased by 103.1%. The company opened one new store in September, bringing the total number of stores to 482. One store was also refurbished during the month.

For the fiscal year ending June 20, 2026, the first half showed net sales for all stores up 112.0%. Existing stores recorded a 105.8% increase in net sales, with customer traffic up 104.3% and spending per customer up 101.4%. In the first quarter of the fiscal year, Genky DrugStores opened three new stores, refurbished two, and closed one.

The company's monthly sales bulletins are generally released on or after 3:30 p.m. on the last day of each month. All new stores are of the standard 999 m2 size, and refurbished stores refer to large stores and others converted into regular stores for standardization.
