Nidec announces organizational revamp, executive appointments effective October 2025

Nidec Corporation announced a major organizational restructuring and personnel changes effective October 1, 2025. The corporate headquarters will see the "Corporate Strategy Office" and "Corporate Planning Department" integrated into a new "Office of the President." Concurrently, the Automotive Motor & Electronic Control Organic Business Unit, Appliance and Automotive Division, will establish a "Business Strategy and Sales Division" and a "Kyoto Development Center." New departments will be created under them to enhance efficiency in sales management, design engineering, production engineering, purchasing, and project management.

Accompanying these structural changes are several key executive appointments and reassignments. Michio Kaida retains his role as first senior vice president and chief technology officer, overseeing R&D and technology strategy, while Akinobu Samura continues as senior vice president and chief financial officer, managing finance, investor relations, corporate management, accounting, and tax. Kazuo Nakagawa is appointed vice president and deputy chief financial officer, responsible for finance and president of GREEN SUN Insurance, Inc.

The Automotive Motor & Electronic Control Organic Business Unit, Appliance and Automotive Division also sees new leadership. Yasukazu Aiyama will serve as general manager of the Purchasing Department within the Kyoto Development Center. Takao Atarashi is appointed general manager of the Production Engineering Department in the same center. Furthermore, Naoki Iwagami will assume the role of division general manager for the R&D Division, Inverter Business Group, and general manager of Design Engineering Department 5.
