Hamamatsu Photonics announces leadership transition and executive appointments

Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. announced on September 19, 2025, that its board of directors has resolved upon a slate of director candidates and executive officer appointments, effective following the 78th ordinary general meeting of shareholders in mid-December 2025. Tadashi Maruno is nominated for reappointment as representative director and president, with Hisaki Kato also nominated for reappointment as representative director and vice president.

The proposed changes also include Ken Nozaki and Naofumi Toriyama nominated for reappointment as directors. Kazue Kurihara, Takuo Hirose, Kaoru Minoshima, and Takaaki Kimura are all nominated for reappointment as outside directors, highlighting a continuity in external oversight.

Additionally, new executive officer appointments are planned, with Hisanori Suzuki and Yasuyuki Horiuchi slated to become executive officers. Kazuhiko Mori is named as a candidate for a non-executive director, reflecting a strategic shift in roles within the organization.
