Toho-Towa partners with Warner Bros. for Japan theatrical distribution

Toho-Towa Co., a subsidiary of Toho Co., has entered into a multi-year agreement with Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group for the theatrical distribution of Hollywood feature films in the Japanese market. This strategic partnership, which begins in 2026, will see Toho-Towa's subsidiary Towa Pictures Co. handle marketing activities, while Toho Co. will manage sales operations for Warner Bros. Pictures' global film slate. The first release under this agreement is slated to be Emerald Fennell's "Wuthering Heights" in 2026.

The distribution agreement signifies a notable expansion for Toho's operations in the Japanese film market. Toho Co. confirmed that the financial impact of this agreement on its consolidated financial results is expected to be minor, with further disclosures to be made if any material developments arise.
