Aeon Fantasy sees strong August sales from domestic and overseas growth

AEON Fantasy Co., Ltd. announced August 2025 operating revenue in Japan of JPY8,526 million, a 109.6% year-on-year increase. Total domestic sales for August saw a 109.4% rise, with existing outlets up 106.9% and 106.7% after working day adjustment. This contributed to a cumulative total sales growth of 108.6% from March to August for all outlets, with existing outlets up 106.6% and 106.7% after working day adjustment. Calendar factors provided a 0.2% positive impact to same-store sales year-on-year. Amusement machine sales and product sales also performed well, up 107.3% and 121.5% respectively for all outlets in August.

Internationally, existing outlets of overseas subsidiaries presented a mixed but generally positive picture for August 2025. While China experienced a 96.1% sales growth, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines showed significant increases of 95.4%, 110.5%, and 113.9% respectively. Indonesia grew by 84.9%, and Vietnam by 97.5%. The ASEAN total for existing outlets was up 100.3% in August, contributing to an overall overseas total of 99.2% for existing outlets for the month and 94.8% for the first half (March to August).

The company also expanded its physical footprint in August, opening five new locations. These included three "TOYS SPOT PALO" capsule toy stores, one "Chikyu no Niwa" outlet, and one "Nobikko Jumbo" playground. As of August 31, 2025, AEON Fantasy's domestic store count reached 773 locations, with 51 new store openings and 13 store closures for the current fiscal year to date.
