Tsuruha Holdings sees August sales growth, expands store network

Tsuruha Holdings Inc. reported its monthly sales flash report for August 2025, showing a year-over-year net sales growth of 2.3% for all stores and 0.1% for existing stores. Customer traffic for all stores increased by 0.1%, while existing stores saw a decrease of 1.8%. The average spending per customer for all stores grew by 2.2%, with existing stores increasing by 1.9%. For the cumulative period ending August 2025, total net sales grew by 4.2% (2.1% for existing stores).

During August 2025, Tsuruha Holdings opened six new directly operated stores and closed two, bringing the total number of directly operated stores to 2,676. Notable new openings included Higashifunabashi 1-chome (dispensing pharmacy) in Chiba and Kyoto Katsura store in Kyoto. The two stores closed were Chusen store in Akita and Ono store in Fukushima.

The company's domestic store network totals 2,676, including 997 dispensing pharmacies. Key brands within the group include Tsuruha Drug (1,491 stores), Kusurino Fukutaro (246 stores), Wellness/Wants (381 stores), Lady Drug Store (254 stores), Kyourindo (103 stores), and Drug Eleven (201 stores). In addition to its domestic presence, Tsuruha Holdings operates 25 overseas stores and 7 franchise stores.
