Renova's August 2025 electricity sales impacted by output curtailment

Renova, Inc. announced its August 2025 electricity sales, with total actual sales for the month reaching 258,058,633 kWh, a -10.5% change from the planned 288,301,372 kWh. Year-to-date cumulative actual sales from April to August 2025 stand at 1,244,923,359 kWh, a -4.8% deviation from the planned 1,307,498,136 kWh. Compared to the previous year, August's total sales saw a +6.3% increase for all facilities, while existing facilities experienced a +151.2% rise. The period from April to August shows a cumulative +23.1% increase for all facilities and a +144.7% increase for existing facilities.

In August 2025, various electric power companies issued output control instructions, affecting some of Renova’s power plants. The total power generation loss due to these restrictions in August amounted to 0.009% of the annual revenue plan for all power plants. This impact is deemed minor to the consolidated financial forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, as Renova incorporates output control and weather risks into its business planning.

Several solar and biomass power plants experienced output curtailment days in August. The Karumai Sonbou Solar power plant, Kanda Biomass Energy K.K., Morinomiyako Biomass Energy G.K., and Ishinomaki Hibarino Biomass Power Plant each had one day of output curtailment. These curtailments resulted in varying percentages of lost power generation compared to planned full-year figures, ranging from 0.000% to 0.004%.
