As One reports modest august sales growth despite fewer business days

As One Corporation announced its unconsolidated monthly business performance for August 2025, with total sales reaching JPY 6,759 million, a 4.6% increase compared to August 2024. This growth occurred despite one fewer business day in August 2025 compared to the previous year. Year-to-date sales for FY03/2025 (April-August) stand at JPY 34,718 million, up from JPY 32,796 million in the same period last year, marking a 5.9% increase.

The scientific and industrial sectors were key drivers, with sales growing by 6.3% and 4.8% year-over-year, respectively. This was attributed to increased orders for high-priced equipment. On a per-day basis, scientific sector sales rose 12.2%, while the industrial sector saw a 10.6% increase. Conversely, the hospital and nursing care sector experienced a 1.3% decline in sales compared to August 2024, despite a large bulk order.

The medical sector's downturn was attributed to the challenging business environment for medical institutions, leading to reduced purchasing. However, when viewed on a per-day basis, the medical sector still showed a 4.1% increase, indicating underlying strength. The company emphasizes per-day sales given the impact of business day variations on consumable sales in research, industrial, and medical fields.
