Kansai Electric's Takahama Unit 4 sees revised outage schedule

Kansai Electric Power Co. announced a revised outage schedule for Takahama Power Station Unit No. 4, now targeting reconnection to the power grid on October 19, 2025. This unit is a Pressurized Water Reactor with a rated electric output of 870 MW and a rated thermal output of 2,660 MW.

The revision follows the identification of damage to steam generator tubes during the 26th regular inspection, which commenced on June 18, 2025. An investigation has been completed, and the company plans to implement plugging of the affected tubes.
