NGK insulators announces passing of representative director and vice president

NGK Insulators Co., Ltd. (stock code 5333) announced today, September 8, 2025, the passing of its representative director and vice president, Hiroto Matsuda. Mr. Matsuda passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 61, due to illness. Consequently, he resigned from his position as representative director on the same day. The company expressed deep gratitude for his contributions during his lifetime.

Mr. Matsuda's career with NGK Insulators began in April 1987. He steadily advanced through leadership roles, becoming an executive officer in June 2014, a managing executive officer in June 2018, and a senior managing executive officer in June 2022. He was appointed representative director and vice president in June 2025.

In light of this event, the company's board of directors will see a reduction of one member. However, NGK Insulators confirmed that the number of directors will continue to comply with legal requirements. The funeral services for Mr. Matsuda were held privately among close relatives, and in accordance with the family's wishes, condolences, floral tributes, offerings, and incense money are respectfully declined.
