Sakai Moving Service reports strong August sales, initiates share buyback

Sakai Moving Service Co. Ltd. announced preliminary monthly sales for August 2025, with total sales reaching 7,496 million yen, representing a 103.0% year-over-year change. This follows a strong performance in July, which saw 7,846 million yen in sales at 103.8% year-over-year. The first quarter total sales were 29,238 million yen, reflecting a 103.0% increase from the previous year.

Regionally, Hokkaido and Tohoku reported August sales of 646 million yen (104.6% YoY), while Kanto achieved 2,512 million yen (100.6% YoY). The Kinki region recorded 1,394 million yen (104.8% YoY), and Kyushu and Okinawa contributed 1,121 million yen (106.3% YoY). These figures are preliminary and have not been audited.

The company also announced the acquisition of its own shares under a resolution from its August 8, 2025, Board of Directors meeting. Between August 12 and August 31, 2025, Sakai Moving Service repurchased 44,800 shares of its common stock for a total of 129,732,600 yen. This buyback is part of a larger program to acquire up to 400,000 shares, with an upper limit of 1,400 million yen, by March 31, 2026.
