United Arrows reports strong August sales growth driven by summer demand

United Arrows Ltd. announced a robust 22.7% year-over-year increase in total company sales for August 2025, with existing store retail and online sales also growing by 22.1%. This double-digit growth was primarily fueled by strong demand for summer merchandise, including shirts, cut-and-sewn tops, pants, and dresses, alongside a noticeable movement in early fall women's lightweight and midweight clothing. An additional holiday in August contributed an estimated 1.3 percentage points to the same-store sales growth for retail and online.

For August, the retail and online segment saw a 26.5% sales increase, with purchasing customers up 26.4%. The company noted that preliminary figures do not yet reflect the impact of changes in revenue recognition standards, which, based on July 2025 confirmed figures, are expected to lower company-wide sales by 3.4 percentage points and same-store sales by 3.1 percentage points in the final report. As of August 31, 2025, United Arrows operated 303 stores, including one newly opened outlet. Coen Co., Ltd., a related entity, also reported a 7.1% increase in total sales year-over-year.
