Unicharm to receive significant dividend from Chinese subsidiary

Unicharm Corporation announced that its consolidated subsidiary, Unicharm (China) Co., Ltd., will pay a dividend of surplus totaling CNY 700 million, effective September 1, 2025. This dividend, sourced from retained earnings, will be recorded as non-operating revenue in Unicharm's non-consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 2025.

The Japanese parent company expects to record JPY 14.4 bn from this dividend as part of its non-consolidated financial results.

While the dividend will significantly impact Unicharm's non-consolidated financial results, it will have no effect on the company's consolidated financial performance, as it originates from a consolidated subsidiary. Unicharm's non-consolidated financial statements are prepared in accordance with JGAAP.
