Honda updates on share buyback progress

Honda Motor Co. announced on September 2, 2025, the status of its own share acquisition program. In August 2025, the company acquired 76,882,000 common shares for a total of 124,925,408,813 yen. This acquisition was carried out between August 1, 2025, and August 31, 2025, in accordance with the resolution passed by the Board of Directors on December 23, 2024.

The December 23, 2024, resolution authorized the acquisition of up to 1,100,000,000 common shares, representing 23.7% of the total issued shares (excluding treasury stock), with a total value not exceeding 1,100 billion yen. The acquisition period began on January 6, 2025, and is set to conclude on December 23, 2025, with market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

As of August 31, 2025, Honda has acquired a cumulative total of 723,537,200 shares under this program, amounting to 1,061,434,216,830 yen.
