Sakai Moving Service reports Q1 sales and operating profit growth

For the three months ended June 30, 2025, Sakai Moving Service reported net sales of 33,773 million yen, a 2.6% increase year-on-year. Operating profit also saw a rise of 3.1% to 5,360 million yen, and ordinary profit grew by 3.1% to 5,450 million yen. However, profit attributable to owners of parent decreased by 3.0% to 3,488 million yen. Basic earnings per share for the period stood at 85.79 yen.

The company's financial position showed a decrease in total assets by 9,082 million yen from the end of the previous fiscal year, settling at 118,152 million yen as of June 30, 2025. This was primarily driven by reductions in current assets, including notes and accounts receivable-trade, contract assets, and cash and deposits. Total net assets, however, increased by 188 million yen to 96,188 million yen, mainly due to an increase in retained earnings.

Sakai Moving Service has not revised its consolidated forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, maintaining projected net sales of 125,482 million yen and profit attributable to owners of parent of 8,915 million yen. The forecast for annual dividends per share remains at 98.00 yen.
