Genki Global Dining to acquire Godac, Kobe Marukan for supply chain boost

Godac, established in 1995, specializes in high-quality seafood sales, while Kobe Marukan, founded in 1977, is a wholesaler of marine products. The acquisition is expected to enable stable raw material procurement, new product development, and reduced processing times at Genki's stores, thereby improving operational efficiency.

The company's board, including independent outside directors, approved the acquisition following a review by a special committee. The committee concluded that the acquisition is reasonable, fair, and not detrimental to minority shareholders. The financial impact on Genki Global Dining's consolidated results for the fiscal year ending March 2026 is currently being assessed but is expected to be minor. The share transfer is scheduled for October 1, 2025.
