Terumo acquires OrganOx for $1.5bn, enters organ transplantation

Terumo Corporation announced its $1.5 billion acquisition of OrganOx Limited, making the UK company a wholly owned subsidiary.

OrganOx, a University of Oxford spin-off, specializes in organ preservation devices. Its liver preservation device metra is FDA-approved and commercialized across the US, EU, UK, Australia and Canada.
