Hino Motors creates subsidiary for Hamura plant transfer to Toyota

Hino Motors will establish Toyota Jidosha Hamura Corporation as a wholly-owned subsidiary by August 2025. The new entity will inherit Hino's Hamura plant, with shares then transferred to Toyota Motor Corporation by April 2026.

The new company will focus on manufacturing SUVs, light trucks, and automotive parts. The transfer follows an agreement announced in June and is contingent on business integration progress between Hino and Mitsubishi Fuso, plus regulatory approvals.
