Odakyu Railway posts mixed July results amid store struggles

Odakyu Electric Railway reported mixed July 2025 performance with passenger numbers rising 1.4% year-on-year to 35.1 million and railway revenue increasing 2.4% to 9.9 billion yen.

However, the company's department stores struggled significantly, with the Shinjuku store posting a sharp 12.1% sales decline while the Machida store fell 1.3%.

Hotel occupancy rates varied widely, reaching 89% at Hotel Century Southern Tower but only 73% at Hotel de Yama. The Hakone Highland Hotel remains closed for renovation since May.
