Nishimatsu Construction reports 35% operating profit decline

Nishimatsu Construction reported a 35.2% decrease in operating profit to 3,029m yen for the first quarter ended June 30. Ordinary profit fell 47.9% to 2,540m yen, while profit attributable to owners declined 49.0% to 1,649m yen.

Consolidated net sales decreased 1.5% to 82,907m yen, with declines in real estate and other businesses offsetting higher domestic civil engineering revenue.

Construction orders dropped significantly by 57.1% to 45,384m yen, reflecting broad declines in both domestic and overseas projects.
