Kobe Bussan reports 42% ordinary profit surge in June

Kobe Bussan Co reported ordinary profit surged 42.0% to 4.01bn yen in June 2025, while net sales rose 6.2% to 45.1bn yen. Operating profit increased 25.9% to 3.18bn yen.

The company opened four new Gyomu Super stores in June, bringing the total to 1,110 stores. Product shipments to stores rose 6.9% nationwide.

The ordinary profit increase was partly due to valuation gains from forward exchange contracts, benefiting from yen depreciation towards the end of June.
