Towa Pharmaceutical suffers fire at Yamagata plant

Towa Pharmaceutical reported a fire at its Yamagata Plant on Monday morning that was extinguished by firefighters within four hours.

The incident caused no injuries, with damage limited to one dust collector in the First Solid Dosage Building's machine room. Production and shipment for two other buildings remained unaffected.

The packaging process for the affected building resumed operations Tuesday evening, with other processes gradually resuming. The company is reviewing the impact on business performance.
