Studio Alice swings to 157m yen quarterly profit

Studio Alice reported net income of 157 million yen for the first quarter ending May 31, reversing a 276 million yen loss from the prior year.

Revenue declined 3.6% to 7.84 billion yen, while operating profit reached 211 million yen compared to a 128 million yen operating loss previously.

The photography business saw a 3.4% revenue decline but returned to segment profit. Costume manufacturing and wholesale revenue dropped 21.8%.

The company closed three stores in June but maintained its full-year forecast.
