Weathernews achieves record profits, forecasting further growth

Weathernews (TSE:4825) announced its financial results for the fiscal year ended May 2025, showcasing record-high revenues and profits, marking the 16th consecutive year of revenue increase, with the results exceeding initial upward revisions. Operating profit reached JPY 4,517 million, surpassing the initial revised forecast, while revenue totaled JPY 23,505 million. The company attributes the strong performance to effective cost management through AI utilization, streamlined operations, and reduced temporary expenses. For fiscal year 2026, Weathernews projects further growth, forecasting revenue of JPY 25,000 million and an operating profit of JPY 5,000 million. The company aims to increase the annual dividend to JPY 90 per share, marking the fourth consecutive year of increased shareholder returns, and will focus on expanding its customer base via SaaS offerings and leveraging AI for operational efficiency.
