Yodogawa Steel subsidiary completes ransomware investigation in Taiwan

Yodogawa Steel Works (TSE: 5451) announced the completion of an investigation into a ransomware incident affecting its Taiwanese subsidiary, Sheng Yu Steel Co., Ltd. ("SYSCO"), as detailed in its third report on the matter. The Industrial Development Administration in Taiwan investigated the actions taken by SYSCO in response to the attack and concluded that there were no violations of Taiwan's Personal Information Protection Law. Yodogawa Steel Works stated that it has not confirmed any secondary damage related to the incident. The company anticipates that the incident will have a negligible impact on the Group's overall business performance and pledges to promptly disclose any information that could materially affect future results. Yodogawa Steel Works also apologized to stakeholders for any concerns or inconvenience caused by the incident.
